I lay down
And breathe
Nothings happening
Nothings changed
I wrap the sheets around me
Wrapped in insecurities
And lies and laughs
And kisses we never had
In moments that won’t be shared
In the dream I had
I let it all out
And pretend to myself
That somehow you cared
The screams you’ll never hear
The tears you won’t wipe away
I smile
The world is a big place
With different places to go
And millions of people to see
Maybe easiest way for it to happen
Is if I leave
I’ll come back sometime
Come to see if you’ve become
